I left OKC late Dec. 1960 for the US Air Force for four years, landing in Waco TX for the last three yrs of my tour, and thereafter landed in Houston for the next 16yrs (afterall, Texas is just baja Okla isn't it?). There, I met and married Patsy Olson (we met at the engrg co. where we both were employed) and we just celebrated our 43rd anniversary. Soon after Patsy and I met, I learned that a contractor with NASA was looking for ex-GI's with my experience so I joined with them, working in the Space Environment Simulation Lab at Houston's Manned Spacecraft Center. Great stuff! Four years later, after the first lunar manned landing, I joined a Houston based oilfield equipment mnfr. as div sales mgr. until about 10-12yrs later when OPEC collapsed the oil field. Then, following a 6yr real estate development venture in Mississippi, we moved to the Nashville area where I became area gen'l mgr for an asset mgt co., until I retired about 10yrs ago. I now do home inspections for something to keep me active. About 20yrs ago, Patsy & I built a place in the country just east of Nashville, with a barn & pasture, moved our horses home and began trail riding which we still enjoy today.
