After NWC I graduated from OU, then entered the Army to fulfill a 2 year obligation, which somehow turned into a 28 year stint. It was a great career, and we lived or traveled all over the world, to include 15 years in Asia. We were stationed in Georgia, Virginia (twice), Indiana, Kentucky, California, South Carolina, Kansas (3 times), and overseas in Hawaii, Korea (4 times), Vietnam, and traveled on short assignments to Thailand, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and various countries in Europe. After retirement, I was president of Pacific Associates, an international business development consulting company based in the Washington DC area for 7 years, retiring again about 10 years ago. Jody Elston Young (NWC '61) and I have been married for 47 years, have 3 sons and 6 grandchildren. We live in Pinehurst, North Carolina most of the time, and also in Shenandoah County, Virginia, where we have a small hobby farm.
