After graduating from Oklahoma State and Perkins School of Theology at SMU, I have spent the last 43 years as a United Methodist minister in northeastern Kansas. I served churches in Horton, Kansas (small-town, rural), Kansas City, Kansas (inner-city), Lenexa (suburban)), Manhattan, First, (a large university church). I also served two terms in and in administrative positions, coordinator of urban ministries in Kansas City and district superintendent. This was a wide variety of assignments which kept life interesting.

I traveled half this distance with Jeri, my beautiful wife of 28 years. We share three daughters, Anne a nurse, Kristin United Methodist campus minister in California, and Nicole
in business. We also have four grandchildren, one boy and three girls.

In 2002 I took disability because of dealing with multiple sclerosis since 1984.

We are now retired and living in Kansas City close to the airport so we can pick you up if you come to visit us.
